Ten years after Woodsboro's first Ghostface rampage, Sidney Prescott returns to her hometown on a book tour promoting her self-help guide "Out of Darkness." Just as she arrives, a new Ghostface emerges, slashing their way through a group of high school students, sparking chilling memories for Sidney and reawakening the town's trauma.

As fear grips the community, Sidney finds herself pulled back into the nightmare she desperately tried to escape. This time, she's not alone. Her cousin Jill Roberts, her publicist Rebecca Walters, and police officers Dewey Riley and Judy Hicks also became targets.
