The story follows Jude (Jim Sturgess), a young Liverpudlian dockworker with a passion for music. He falls head-over-heels for Lucy (Evan Rachel Wood), an American student visiting England. Determined to reunite with Lucy, Jude embarks on a journey to New York City, facing the challenges of immigration and the Vietnam War draft.

Across the Universe isn't just a love story; it's a captivating exploration of a turbulent era. As Jude navigates the vibrant counterculture scene in New York, the film incorporates iconic Beatles songs to capture the spirit of the times, from the optimism of "Revolution" to the protest against war in "Give Peace a Chance."

Director Julie Taymor uses imaginative visuals and dream-like sequences to bring the music to life. Across the Universe is a feast for the eyes and ears, immersing viewers in the pulsating energy of the 1960s with a touch of magical realism.
