Fast Five follows Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) and Brian O'Conner (Paul Walker) as they plan a heist to steal $100 million from corrupt businessman Hernan Reyes (Joaquim de Almeida) while being pursued for arrest by U.S. Diplomatic Security Service (DSS) agent Luke Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson).
After being freed from prison by Mia Toretto (Jordana Brewster), Dom and Brian flee to Rio de Janeiro and assemble a team of skilled drivers to help them with their heist. They also team up with local officer Elena Neves (Elsa Pataky), who is investigating Reyes' criminal activities.
The team plans to steal Reyes' money from a vault in the police station. However, their plans are complicated by Hobbs and his team, who are also in Rio to capture Dom and Brian.
