After Earth

In the year 2314, humanity has evacuated Earth due to environmental disasters and has colonized the planet Nova Prime. Cypher Raige is a legendary general who has spent his entire life fighting to protect Nova Prime from the hostile Ursa creatures that inhabit the planet.

When Cypher and his teenage son Kitai are returning to Nova Prime from a mission to scout potential new colonies, their ship is damaged by an asteroid field and crashes on Earth. The impact kills all but 32 of the 1,000 people on board, including Cypher's wife and daughter.

Cypher and Kitai are stranded on Earth, which has become a very different place in the 1,000 years since humans left. The planet is now covered in lush vegetation and is home to a variety of dangerous creatures, including the Ursa.

Cypher is seriously injured in the crash and is unable to walk. Kitai must use his survival skills to find food, water, and shelter, and protect himself and his father from the Ursa.

Along the way, Kitai learns about his father's past and the sacrifices he made to protect Nova Prime. He also begins to understand the importance of family and the power of hope.

In a climactic confrontation, Kitai faces off against an Ursa and manages to kill it. He then uses his father's knowledge of the planet to find a way to signal for help.

Cypher and Kitai are rescued by a Nova Prime ship and are taken back to their home planet. Kitai is hailed as a hero for his bravery and survival skills.
