Category 5

In the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, a family on the Gulf Coast is faced with another, even more powerful storm: Category 5.

Charlie DuPuis (C. Thomas Howell) and his wife Ellie (Tangi Miller) are still struggling to rebuild their lives after Katrina. They are living in a FEMA trailer with their young son Danny and Charlie's elderly father, Pops (Burt Reynolds).

When a new hurricane forms in the Gulf of Mexico, Charlie and Ellie are determined to stay and protect their home. But as the storm approaches, it becomes clear that Category 5 is like nothing they have ever seen before.

With winds of over 200 miles per hour and a tidal surge of up to 30 feet, Category 5 devastates the Gulf Coast. Charlie and his family are forced to flee their home and seek shelter in a nearby storm shelter.

But the storm shelter is soon overwhelmed by the surge, and Charlie and his family are forced to fight for their lives. With the help of Pops, Charlie and Ellie must find a way to save themselves and their son from the most powerful hurricane in history.
