Dante's Peak is an action-disaster film starring Pierce Brosnan as USGS volcanologist Harry Dalton, who detects imminent eruption warnings from a long-dormant volcano threatening a small Pacific Northwest town. Despite skepticism from his superiors and town officials, he teams up with Mayor Rachel Wando (Linda Hamilton) to save residents as the mountain triggers catastrophic, fast-moving destruction.
