Scrublands

Scrublands is an Australian crime thriller (novel by Chris Hammer and TV adaptation) set in the drought-stricken, fictional town of Riversend. Following a mass shooting where a local priest murders five parishioners, journalist Martin Scarsden arrives one year later to write a story, only to uncover deeper, darker secrets behind the town’s trauma and a potential cover-up.
